A Systems Engineer installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Troubleshoot issues with systems and networks.
  • Install new hardware and software.
  • Perform system upgrades.
  • Manage backup and recovery.
  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.

The ideal candidate’s profile should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or programming, information technology or a similar field.
  • Working experience in similar position.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of UNIX /Linux based environments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and services (DNS – DHCP).
  • Troubleshooting of Microsoft products (Windows, SQL, Azure, Office365)
  • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
  • Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
  • Experience with monitoring systems.

Optional Technical Skills:

  • Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
  • Experience in Networking & Security solutions.
